About the award

This Award celebrates intern students who have exceeded expectations and genuinely made a significant impact to their team, department or the business as a whole. We give out a nice £250 to match the trophy.

Why they won

Ryan worked on one of the largest event arriva trains has ever worked on, and his initiative in identifying problems and tenacity in approaching and executing solutions was nothing short of outstanding. The work ethic shown mean that he was given additional responsibility for the football Champions League Final in Cardiff which impacted over 600 employees. Ryan was nominated for a company-wide award and received handwritten praise from both the Government and the Football Association.
